This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

All the way from Eastern Pennsylvania, we heard rave reviews about Pierogi Mountain. It was so much fun. A dive bar jamming out to authentic punk rock. The place reminds me of growing up and hanging out on South Street in Philadelphia (the readers may not know what I'm talking about), but the vibe was so The Dead Milkmen. Anyway, I started with the poutine fries with cider pot roast gravy. They were very good; the cheddar cheese was okay, but I think traditional cheese curds would be better. Still, they were delicious. Our waiter informed us that Pennsylvania is the pierogi capital of the world! I would have to agree, but these were still very good. I am used to a different style of grilled, fried, or caramelized onions, whatever you call them, these were a bit too mushy for me. I'm also more inclined to butter-fried pierogies, so maybe that's just a style difference, but I would absolutely come again. I originally got five different kinds: Potato Cheddar, Potato Sauerkraut & Mushroom, Tomatillo Chile Verde, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and Kung Pao Peanut. I ordered three more after that because the traditional Potato Cheddar and the Spinach Artichoke were my favorites. All in all, it

Finally got a chance to try this! We tried all of the pierogies and I got to say that the classic is the best. We did get the poutine with the pot roast drizzled over it. In hindsight I think we should have just gotten the pot roast. But the food was very good and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a few craft beers as well.

Really delicious and creative pierogi. Technically excellent too, as good as my babusia used to make. Outstanding flavors. Served in a homey and cozy atmosphere with a nice bar and a great beer list, easily the sort of place Iβd be a regular at if I were local. Service was perfect, even after the place filled up.

The food is good! I would need more than 5 pierogi's to make a meal, so I recommend ordering those in addition to an entree of your choice. I had 5 pierogi's (3 of the herbe de provence and goat cheese, and 2 of the apple and rosemary) and their cider pot roast, and really enjoyed it. They have a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, and it's a cute place. Due to its size, it can be pretty loud for conversation, but it's still worth checking out. The servers are so hospitable! They checked on us and made carry out orders a breeze. They were very knowledgeable of the menu and were eager to attend to our needs.
